2013 Pennsylvania National Quilt Show Winners

The winning quilts have now been announced is this year’s Pennsylvania National Quilt Extravaganza.  The theme this year was “Take Me Home.”

The Best of Show winner was Creation Springs Forth by Betty J. Ekern Suiter, a gorgeous traditional floral appliqué with a center medallion.  The Bernina 1st Runner-UP Best of Show award went to Eloise Joins the Circus by Janet M. Fogg, a clever appliqué quilt with an elephant dressed as a clown wearing a wide neck-ruffle and an Eiffel Tower hat.

  • 2ndUnexpected by Madalene Murphy
  • 3rdRousseau by Rachel B. Derstine

Traditional:

  • 1stThe Shell Collector by Bethanne Nemesh
  • 2ndRainbow Nouveau by Margaret Solomon Gunn
  • 3rdTennessee Treasures by Linda M. Roy

Wall Quilts:

  • Best Wall Quilt:  Crown Jewel by Lisa H. Calle
  • 2ndTaste of Paradise by Deb Crine
  • 3rdBrother Against Brother by Bonita W. Cantrell
